Theme Park (2011) Description
Theme Park (2011), released on AND and iOS, is a new version of Bullfrog's hit from 1994. The game is available in a free-to-play model and is a social economy strategy. Danish studio Progressive Media, experienced in mobile productions, is responsible for its development.
Mechanics
As in the case of the original, in Theme Park (2011), we take care of the newly created amusement park, and our task is to attract as many visitors as possible and earn money, allowing for further expansion of the park. In the course of the game, we build a whole lot of crazy attractions, such as merry-go-rounds, Ferris wheels or various types of rollercoasters. We must not forget about the shops where hungry and thirsty guests will be able to eat and drink. We have to take care of the cleanliness of the park and repair damaged equipment by hiring cleaning staff and mechanics. The game also gives us the opportunity to participate in a variety of arcade games, thanks to which we can tweak some of the toys and test them ourselves.
Technical aspects
Just like in most social games, the progress is realized by performing successively assigned tasks. The limitations of the free-to-play model are based on the time needed to build or renovate individual buildings and equipment. Of course, we can shorten the waiting time by purchasing special tickets in the in-game store. It also allows you to unlock inaccessible toys and buy exclusive attractions unavailable during the game. In terms of graphics, Theme Park (2011) is characterized by colorful 3D graphics. We can also watch a number of funny animations showing guests of the park enjoying its attractions.
