Big Fest
Release Date: December 2, 2015
Strategy, economic, music, PlayStation exclusive, singleplayer
A free-to-play music festival simulator from Sony Computer Entertainment, released exclusively for Sony consoles. In Big Fest, the players are given the task of planning and organizing an open-air festival. Our duties include things like deciding on all infrastructural details, e.g. location of the stage and food stalls. We can also decide what music will be played, choosing from a vast group of independent performers available on Jamendo.
Big Fest Description
Big Fest, released on PS3, PSV and PS4, is an original free-to-play music festival simulator. The game was developed by one of Sony's first-party development studios.
Mechanics
The task of the players is to organize the best outdoor event. We determine various types of infrastructure details, such as scene location, food stack, and so on. We also choose music that is played throughout the event. We download songs from Jamendo, a free service for independent performers. Since our festivals can be visited and reviewed by other players, we can promote selected bands and draw the attention of many people. The action of the game is presented from an isometric view.
Technical aspects
Big Fest uses 3D graphics. Thanks to the applied graphics filters, the game resembles a diorama.
