Kokuga Description
Japanese company G.Rev, which specializes in arcade shooters, under the leadership of Hiroshi Iuchi, has prepared another title, which is a test of skills, reflex and patience of the players. Kokuga's 3DS arcade shooting is the spiritual heir to the 2001 Dreamcasta Ikaruga.
The basic assumptions of the game do not differ from those used in hundreds of similar titles. The camera shows the action from a bird's eye view, and the players take control of the tank, the aim of which is to reach the end of the board. This task is hampered by hundreds of enemy vehicles that are constantly firing at the console-guided machine and doing everything they can to destroy it. Successful completion of the mission is further complicated by the fact that players' ships can only shoot single missiles by default.
Unlike many other representatives of the genre of arcade shooting, Kokuga does not force only to move up the screen. The architecture of the successive maps resembles a labyrinth and contains many nooks and crannies, narrow corridors and open squares for a spectacular exchange of fire. A characteristic feature of the game is also a support card taken on every mission, which can be activated at any time by touching the bottom screen of the console. Some of them increase firepower, others improve firing speed, while others activate invisibility or indestructibility for a certain period of time.
The creators prepared fifteen levels and allowed to freely decide on the level of difficulty of each of them. Console owners are free to decide on the order in which the next maps, which are connected into a grid, are to be covered. The only limitation is the need to select the levels that are connected to the last completed line. For the most persistent and experienced shooting enthusiasts there is the "ultimate mode", in which the opponents have more firepower, are stronger and are set up in a more difficult to overcome way.
Kokuga allows you to have fun with up to four people at the same time in cooperation mode by "download play". Players are accompanied by electronic music as they complete the maps.
