Galaxy of Pen & Paper is another installment of the humorous RPG series from the Behold studio. Just like the previous games, Galaxy of Pen & Paper simulates a tabletop RPG session by reenacting the players' and game master's behavior and the events of the campaign they are playing. Unlike its predecessors, the game uses a science fiction setting.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper for PC, AND and iOS is the third installment of the humorous RPG series developed by Behold, creators of Knights of Pen & Paper (first game of the series) and Chroma Squad.

The Plot

Unlike the previous games (they used a fantasy setting), Galaxy of Pen & Paper for PC, AND and iOS is set in a science-fiction reality. We will control a group of adventurers that explore the galaxy by flying their own spaceship.

As usual, developers approach the subject with a pinch of salt and regularly mock the most recognizable and widely-used elements of the genre. This time, the game’s plot is more complex than previously and our decisions will influence the course of the story.

Mechanics

In terms of mechanics, Galaxy of Pen & Paper for PC, AND and iOS is an expansion of the ideas and solutions known from the previous games in the series. Once again, we get an RPG that simulates the tabletop RPG sessions, reenacting the behavior of both players and the game master and the events that take place in their campaign.

As we play, we will venture through the galaxy, explore planets, do various quests, and take part in turn-based battles. We will have to face both small groups of enemies and and whole squadronds of spaceships. Combat system in Galaxy of Pen & Paper is more complex than in the series’ previous installments. It offers more options and more tactical freedom.

As we play, both virtual players and their characters will level up, increase their stats, and unlock new skills and abilities. The game also allows the customization of our spaceships.

Technical Aspects

Galaxy of Pen & Paper for PC, AND and iOS has colourful, 2D pixelart visuals. Some of the game’s elements are in 3D, but are covered with special textures so that they would not stand out.
