Fruitbus Description
Fruitbus is an adventure game with elements of a cooking simulator. The work of the independent Norwegian producer Krillbite Studio was developed with recreational gameplay in mind. The game is characterized by a cheerful, colorful graphic design.
Plot
We play the role of the new owner of the titular vehicle, which we take over after our deceased grandmother. From this moment on, our task is to restore it to its former glory, as well as to serve anthropomorphic clients and visit grandma's old acquaintances.
Gameplay
Fruitbus is a first-person game in which we traverse the Gustum archipelago on foot or behind the wheel of a catering truck. The work of Krillbite studio is characterized by an open world.
We start the business small, equipped only with a knife, serving bowls and basic products. By selling food, over time we gain access to new tools (including a blender or a stove), and we expand the menu by exploring the world, collecting vegetables and fruits, and discovering ancient recipes. We also gain the ability to personalize the food cart - we choose the colors of the vehicle, the appearance of the fenders or tires.
During the game we can encounter customers with different tastes. We will have to prepare both simple dishes like fruit salads, as well as complicated dishes cooked in several steps. We also need to cater to specific gourmets who will allow us to have fun in the kitchen and develop our own version of dishes from any ingredients.
