Frostpunk: The Last Autumn

The Last Autumn is the first big expansion to Frostpunk, a strategy game released in April 2018. The add-on is a prequel to the events known from the basic version of the title and takes the player to the times before the advent of the eternal winter. The development and release of the DLC is the responsibility of 11 bit studios.

Plot

Frostpunk: The Last Autumn enables us to get acquainted with the times before glaciation. In the scenario, the player takes on the role of the highest supervisor of construction site 113. His task is to build a generator before the winter arrives.

Mechanics

Frostpunk: The Last Autumn maintains the convention known from the basic version of the game. Players are once again dealing with a combination of survival and city builder, in which they have to expand their settlement, take care of its smooth functioning and control the satisfaction of residents. The expansion, however, modifies the mechanics of the game. Instead of keeping an eye on the generator, the construction of the generator should be supervised. The expansion also implements new technologies for development, buildings and a new Book of Laws.
