The action of From Beneath takes place in a town called Cedar Heights, which mysteriously turns into a living hell. The campaign tells a story of seven independent characters who have to fight for their survival. Mechanically, From Beneath is an action-adventure game with the camera hanging behind the character’s back.

The action takes place in the town Cedar Heights which turned into a hell on Earth for no clear reason. The campaign tells a story of seven people, both adults and children. Some mysterious force attracts them to Cedar Heights where they have to fight for their lives.
The campaign slowly introduces the player to the biographies of the characters and to the town’s story, and clarifies why it turned into a nightmare.
From Beneath is an action adventure with the camera hanging behind the character’s back. Each hero possesses slightly different traits, but the player cannot freely switch between the characters. Depending on the moment, the game gives you control of a different one.
From Beneath is a classic survival horror inspired by console hits of this genre. Consequently, open combat never pays off. Battles are tough and single bullets are precious. It is often best to avoid fighting, which is possible due to the sneaking system – you need to move slowly, hide in the shadows, be silent, and distract opponents in different ways. Gameplay is complemented with sporadic logic puzzles.
The title features attractive 3D visuals. The locations are large and detailed, and the characters look realistically. Additionally, the game offers a professional voiceover.
