Freedom Wars Description
Freedom Wars is a production of the Japanese development branch of Sony Computer Entertainment - SCE Japan Studio addressed to lovers of dynamic action games and fun in the mode of multi-person cooperation. From the beginning, the title was created with PlayStation Vita and its technical capabilities in mind.
The action of the game was set in the future, showing a dystopian vision of the world in which humanity lives closed behind the walls of city-states called Panopticones. As a result of a restrictive birth policy, the majority of citizens are born, sentenced to millions of years in prison. The only way to shorten the sentence is to repent by participating in dangerous rescue missions and fighting huge monsters called Abductors.
The heroine (or heroine) controlled by the player is one of the convicts trying to shorten their sentence. He is accompanied by the governmental android - Accesory, which is to both watch and support him in the fight. The mechanics of the gameplay largely resembles the solutions known to fans of the Monster Hunter series. The main difference is that the focus is on saving people and will remain unnoticed, not killing monsters.
The gameplay is designed to play in cooperation mode, in which up to 8 players can participate. Developers tried to make the most of the potential of PlayStation Vita, including the possibility of using elements of augmented reality.
The visual layer of the game is maintained in anime style. However, the creators decided on a spectacular, three-dimensional graphic design with spectacular animations of combat sequences.
