Alex and Franko were a couple of inseparable friends. Both were born in rather turbulent times of ideological and ownership transformation of our beautiful country. Poland changed from a communist to some other form and the police got lost in all of this enough not to be able to find a place in the new reality. They grew up at a time when chaos and power ruled. When our heroes were still very young, the turmoil of change threw them into a wonderful port city - the homeland of smugglers. Szczecin, and especially some of its districts, were not among the safest. Both young men, who love sport above all else, trained fiercely fashionable, Far Eastern martial arts, for good condition, own safety and spy. They especially liked evening walks in the dark streets of Szczecin. There was always a new dealer trying to squeeze a free portion of LSD into the unconscious kid, with whom a good deal could be struck on nagging customers. Also this evening they went to get to know new, unknown nooks and crannies. And there was an unattended lady hiding in them? However, the final was unexpected. Suddenly, they were replaced by a large group of not very friendly looking oppressors. Our heroes fought long and fiercely.... However, when Franko woke up, he saw his friend's immobile corpse, and his ears still sounded like a mockery laughter of a certain Block. A lot of time passed, Franko trained and fought, gained strength, broke all links with the social margin. From day to day an unrestrained rage grew in it. He only thought about revenge...
Franko: The Crazy Revenge is a Polish response to the Double Dragon or Golden Axe fights, which once made a dizzying career in local gaming salons. We see our hero from the side, and the whole philosophy is to constantly walk to the right and delete the coming delicatessen. Although the plot suggests something completely different, the player can play not only Franko, but also Alex. Contrary to appearances, the choice is quite important, as both men have a set of blows known only to each other. And among them you will find a real street arsenal: high, traditional fist strokes, holding, knee blows, throws and tons of other deadly strokes.
The game is divided into several stages. Between the main levels, where the action is limited to killing enemies, there are also bonus stages, consisting of riding the toddler and hitting passers-by on the mask. Our heroes have three "lives" and limited energy, the current state of which is reflected in the bar located in the lower right corner of the screen. Next to it there is also a counter of murders committed with our participation. Nothing important, but happy.
Franko is characterized by a very specific visual setting. Both heroes and enemies are "gently" hypertrophied muscles, dressed in clothes from a bygone era. The surroundings are reminiscent of what we see every day in a big city: scratched tenement houses and grey facades of blocks of flats. Animation is not a sensational one, especially where it is most desired - during the blows. The game is relatively brutal, although blood looks more like a kissel than a posok leaking from the bruised bodies of enemies. The game is also accompanied by music and a whole assortment of samples (unfortunately of poor quality), among which we can hear statements like "shoe" or "calm"...
