F.R.A.G. is a free-to-play online FPS developed by Allods Team. Advertised as the so-called "anti-shooter", F.R.A.G is in fact a rather typical multiplayer fps. There are several types of soldiers the players can caontrol, each of them using a different type of weapon (i.e. powerful minigun, rocket launcher, or dual-wielded machine guns) and skills, like force field or a protective shield that provides cover from the incoming bullets.
F.R.A.G. for PC is an online FPS developed by Allods Team, creators of MMORPGs Skyforge and Allods Online. Just like those games, F.R.A.G. is uses the free-to-play business model.
Mechanics
Though F.R.A.G. for PC was advertised as an ‘anti-shooter’, the game is in fact a typical multiplayer fps. We can play as one of the several soldiers available, each of them using different abilities. One is your typical tank with a powerful minigun and a force field, other uses a rocket launcher, another dual-wields machine guns, and the last one can use a protective shield that deflects the incoming bullets. Gameplay is rather arcade, but victory depends on the cooperation of our team.
Combat takes place on various maps and in different weather conditions. All of them are multilevel and allow the tactical use of the map’s environment, i.e. high ledge would be a great place for a sniper, and a narrow corridor will allow us to place a shield and resist our opponents.
Technical Aspects
F.R.A.G. for PC has 3D visuals that are on a rather usual level for modern games. The game may not set new standards, but its cartoonish style is forgiving and makes it look just good.
