Fractured Minds Description
Fractured Minds is an adventure game that explores anxiety and mental illness. The author of this production, seventeen-year-old Emily Mitchell, won the BAFTA award in the category of "Young Game Designers Award" in 2017.
Mechanics
In Fractured Minds we observe the action from first-person perspective. The game was divided into six short levels. By exploring each of these stages, we must face the problems faced every day by people suffering from mental disorders, such as isolation, anxiety or a distorted perception of everyday situations. Individual challenges are presented in the form of logic and environmental puzzles, which include the search for specific objects or the manipulation of objects in the game world.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional graphics of Fractured Minds, although simple, present themselves decently. The game is complemented by an atmospheric soundtrack.
