Flight Catastrophe

Flight Catastrophe is a game in which we take on the role of the person responsible for crisis management on board an aircraft. Our task is to deal with all kinds of dangerous situations and ensure the safety of passengers and crew. The game was developed by Polish studio Trigger Labs. The publisher is PlayWay.

Mechanics

Flight Catastrophe is a strategic game where the action is most often observed from the side - we look at the cross-section of the plane (similarly as in This War of Mine). The main goal of the game is to save the crew and passengers from danger. The gameplay is about watching what is happening on board and reacting to various emergencies.

The player is often forced to make difficult decisions - e.g. whether to tell passengers about an engine failure or to negotiate with a terrorist or try to eliminate it. We can also perform various types of repairs, change aircraft settings and coordinate crew actions. Sometimes the key to success can be to accept help from one of the passengers.
