FlatOut: Head On is the first part of the series to hit the mobile console. After the considerable success of FlatOut on PCs and desktops to date, manufacturers, Bugbear Entertainment and Six By Nine, decided to introduce PlayStation Portable users to the game as well.
FlatOut combines fast and ruthless car racing with total destruction derbies. This is the essence of the arcade game, in which the most important thing is great and unrestricted too complicated model of driving fun. On the agenda are parts that fall off from cars, bent bodywork and broken windows. In order to win, it is not enough to be the fastest, you also have to show a lot of cunning and dexterity to effectively eliminate competitors. With each subsequent lap there is a growing danger of collision between detached body parts and other rubbish such as planks, tree logs or scattered tires on the road. Nevertheless, the engine responsible for the physics of the game is able to deal with the calculation of such a large number of elements without any problems.
Head On allows players to race on as many as forty different routes, among six different sceneries. In addition to normal racing in career mode, the game can be fought with cars in nine specially prepared arenas. In this case there are two types of gameplay to choose from: the classic "deathmatch" and "last man standing", i.e. the one whose car will remain the last one on the battlefield wins. There was also a "ragdoll" mode, in which our goal is a spectacular deprivation of the life of our own driver. Forty-five different vehicles, including even a school bus, are at the player's disposal.
There will be no lovers of multi-person skirmishes on ice. FlatOut: Head On offers the possibility to race together for four people. The producer has also prepared several mini games and tournaments for them.
