Ferocious PC

Ferocious is an FPS developed by an indie studio OMYOG. The developers were inspired by iconic dinosaur and monster movies, such as King Kong and Jurassic Park, as well as iconic shooters, such as the first Far Cry and the Crysis series.

Plot

Ferocious stars a survivor of a shipwreck, washed up on a mysterious island in the Pacific Ocean. After waking up, he discovers the place is overrun by dinosaur and prehistoric creatures, as well as squads of armed mercenaries. This leaves him with no choice but to find a weapon and fight for survival, gradually discovering what's going on.

Mechanics

Ferocious is a first-person game (FPP). The player completes objectives and fights enemies while making their way through the jungle and the island's rocky coast. Hostile humans, even armed, aren't the greatest threat lurking on the map. A much bigger problem are dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. They include agile, fast beasts and powerful juggernauts able to tank tons of lead.

Speaking of shooting - the game features an extensive roster of weaponry, both ranged and melee. The latter comes especially in handy when we run out of ammo. Our weapons can be configured and adapted to our individual preferences.

Technical aspects

Ferocious features high-quality visuals. The game runs on the Unity engine; the developers have also used photogrammetry. The engine also supports enhanced physics, making objects behave realistically and get thrown around by explosions.
