Farpoint for PS4 is a first person shooter action game by American studio Impulse Gear. The game requires the PlayStation VR set, and utilizes the PS VR Aim Controller, designed specifically for this production, which is the successor to the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter, a simplified model rifle. The Aim Controller, is not required, although it is a nice addition.

Plot

You play as a member of a space exploration team, who crashes on an unknown planet. It turns out that the seemingly deserted world is inhabited by dangerous alien life forms. You have no choice but to fight for survival.

Mechanics

Farpoint for PS4 is a first person shooter game. The gameplay is similar to that in other arcade FPS games, although it is slightly slower. Using your trusty rifle, which can also be used to scan the nearby area, you have to explore the desert planet full of creatures resembling giant insects. They're quite hostile towards the newcomer, so most encounters end up with you trying to shoot them full of holes.
