Another match-3 application by King, known primarily for its famous Candy Crush Saga. This time, instead of sweets, players arrange fruits and vegetables. The production also included various power-ups and social aspects.
Farm Heroes Saga for Android is another achievement of King - one of the tycoons of the mobile gaming industry, whose portfolio includes such productions as Candy Crush Saga, Alpha Betty Saga or Bubble Witch Saga. The title is based on the mechanics of match-3 puzzles and uses similar monetisation systems as in the case of other King's games. We have microtransactions, energy, power-ups and so on.
Mechanics
The gameplay focuses on arranging colorful fruits and vegetables vertically and horizontally. If there are three of the same items next to each other, they will, e.g. disappear from the board, get replaced by other elements. This adds points to our account. Of course, the game is diversified by additional attractions such as the need to collect certain vegetables or fight against bosses, which are vulnerable only to selected types of food. In addition, there is no shortage of various power-ups, such as a shovel that allows you to get rid of a target or a tractor that drives over all the vegetables in a given line.
The game is also closely related to Facebook. Players can compete with their friends for points, but also send them extra lives. In addition, your Facebook account (or King's profile on the platform) allows you to save your progress in order to continue playing on another device.
Technical aspects
As far as the graphics design is concerned, Farm Heroes Saga does not stand out in any particular way in comparison to other games of this type. The title offers a cartoon-like, pleasant style that uses several good effects. However, this is nothing we have not seen before on mobile devices.
