The seventh installment in the cRPG franchise created by Peter Molyneux and his Lionhead Studios. In contrast with the previous, full-fledged chapters of the series, Fable Legends puts less emphasis on the story, instead focusing mainly on multiplayer experience. The game is set in Albion, the realm known from the previous games, which got invaded by mysterious evil forces. Players can side with either good or evil.
Fable Legends for PC and XONE is a new installment in the popular game series produced by Lionhead Studios. Unlike the other parts, this installment is based on the cooperation of several players.
The story is set in a fairy-tale land of Albion that fell victim to evil forces. The player chooses one side of the conflict and embarks on a new adventure.
We can select one of the 4 heroes who have different characteristics and abilities. One of them is a Prince Charming-type character who wields a rapier; there is also a magician, a warrior with a giant shield, and an archer. We can also play as a villain, which changes the gameplay dramatically. The player then takes control of a group of monsters and is able to set traps. What’s more, he or she has an impact on the construction of all levels, chooses the place of rebirth for opponents, controls their aggressiveness, and chooses the moment when a boss appears, among others.
The production was designed for 5 players (4 heroes and 1 villain). If there are fewer players, artificial intelligence takes control of the missing characters. The game requires a constant Internet connection.
Thanks to Unreal Engine 4 technology, Fable Legends on PC and XONE provides a high level of graphics and detail.

Microsoft Admits Shutting Down Fable Devs was a Mistake
Microsoft - including Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox - realizes that closing down Lionhead, the studio responsible for the Fable series, was a mistake caused by the desire to promote Kinect. The company declares that it has learned its lesson, which is said to be have been proved by the successful cooperation with developers from Xbox Game Studios.
