Extreme Pinball was another pinball game released by Epic MegaGames made in the 1990s. The game was developed by Digital Extremes studio, the creators of such games as Epic Pinball and
Mechanics
Extreme Pinball offers four different tables: Rock Fantasy, Medieval Knights, Urban Chaos and Monkey Mayhem. Each of them is characterized by unique visuals, specific placement of elements characteristic for pinball, and a large number of bonuses activated after hitting specific targets. It is worth mentioning that the game is much more developed than the previous products of this company.
We can change the material from which the ball is created - this affects its weight and speed of movement, and among the bonuses, we can use multiball. The authors have also improved the display, which now has three functions: it displays the current score, presents various animations and offers simple mini-games.
In terms of available options, Extreme Pinball doesn't offer much when compared to similar productions. The player can only decide on the number of balls and manipulate the display, e.g. by modifying its color. We can't change the table's angle, and thus, influence the speed of the game. The gameplay is incredibly fast, so it won't appeal to fans of realistic pinball games.
