With the help of the on-board Artificial Intelligence, the protagonist has to survive and find out what really happened here.
Event[0] for PC is an original, first person adventure game focusing on the relations between a human being and a machine. The game was created by a crew of 11 gamemakers, and Sergiej Mohow is a name worth mentioning here, for he had co-created such games as Paradis Perdus or Rime. The project was born as a students' assignment and was awarded many prizes before the game's release, mainly for innovation and best narration.
Plot
Due to an unspecified course of events, the protagonist finds himself alone aboard Nautilus - a space cruise vessel heading towards an unknown direction. It turns out soon that an Artificial Intelligence is present aboard as well, and the protagonist is capable of interacting with it. Making use of a terminal network which entangles the ship, the protagonist has to discover what really happened here and survive with help of the AI. Obviously however, cooperation with mechanical companions is bound to cause problematic situations.
Mechanics
Event[0] for PC is played from the first-person view and gameplay itself is relatively unusual here. For the most part, the player asks questions and commands the AI through typing texts directly in subsequently encountered terminals. This kind of interaction is essential when the player wishes to complete story-related tasks. The player explores subsequent chambers freely, but they can also leave the ship in order to reach its different parts from the outside, though oxygen level has to be monitored then. Opening a door or turning a device on requires the player to give an adequate order to the AI, which is in charge of all the on-board systems. More than once however, the AI will not be willing to cooperate. Then the player has to be more persuasive or give a different command. This can be associated with the so-called HAL - an AI depicted in the classic 2001: A Space Odyssey directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Impulsegamer: 4 / 5 by Chris O'Connor
Overall I was very happy with the experience (well that’s a relative term as their are some dark elements to the story). It’s impressive to see what Indie teams can achieve and the best part is we get games that just wouldn’t be made if the field was only open to the big production houses that have to “play it safe”.
God is a Geek: 8 / 10 by Christian Doyle
A tense and atmospheric, albeit brief battle of wits with an AI system will provide you with a solid evening of interactive story entertainment.
PC Gamer: 74 / 100 by Andy Kelly
An imaginative, atmospheric, and cleverly designed sci-fi adventure that’s over far too quickly.
