Europa Universalis IV: Emperor

The thirteenth expansion to Europa Universalis IV strategy developed by Paradox Development Studio. Europe Universalis IV: Emperor focuses on the deepening of mechanics and events related to religion, e.g. the extension of papal power; however, it also introduces a number of other improvements.

Mechanics

The DLC focuses on religious aspects. Emperor allows you to play as a member of the Hussites, a religious movement originating from the Czech Republic, which historically has never gained a wider circle of supporters outside the country - the player can change that. Developers also decided to increase papal power by giving the head of the Church the opportunity to write a papal bulls (ordinances that all Catholic rulers must take into account), appoint cardinals, and several other improvements in the mechanics of managing the State of the Church.

The Holy Roman Empire has also undergone changes. Players who seek to unite the country under the leadership of the only legitimate ruler and those who have set themselves the goal of creating a confederation must now face a much greater challenge. This is because all those aspiring to the name of emperor may now come across events that are intended to make their task difficult.

The add-on also deepens the mechanism of social unrest. The idea of the French Revolution (and beyond) has left its mark on the people of Europe. It is impossible to ignore the cries of our people demanding change - to go with progress or to remain faithful to tradition: these are the dilemmas facing us. Fortunately, the guillotine can cool down the enthusiasm of people who do not agree with our ideas.

The expansion also introduces a number of other minor or major improvements, such as new missions, events or options to enhance country management.
