The first major expansion to Europa Universalis III by Paradox Interactive. The DLC called Napoleon’s Ambition is targeted at the players who did not like the fact that the base game presented a distorted version of historical facts.

Europa Universalis III: Napoleon's Ambition is an addition to the third part of the popular series of strategy and economic games created by the Swedish studio Paradox Interactive. The expansion was created mainly for those players who did not like the excessive discrepancy between the historical facts and the events presented in the game. Europa Universalis III: Napoleon's Ambition is only available for online distribution through the Gamer's Gate web portal.

As the name suggests, the addition expands the time frame of the game, allows us to move to the early nineteenth century, experience the Great French Revolution, as well as react to the territorial drive of Napoleon (or to direct the French expansion itself). With the introduction of a new period in the game, the creators made sure that we could take advantage of advice corresponding to the historical realities of advisors, admire (and conquer) an updated political map of the world and introduce new national ideas and military units to the gameplay.

However, this is not the end of the changes introduced by Napoleon's Ambition. History lovers will surely be happy that the game is more in line with the real course of events. This is why you can count on individual rulers, leaders and advisors to appear during the periods in which their prototypes lived and worked. In addition, the interface has been improved in relation to the basic version of the game and the gameplay has been expanded to include new possibilities to influence the development of the state (including the introduction of more detailed trade management). For those who like to play according to their own rules, the team from Paradox Interactive has prepared a number of settings that allow you to adjust the game to your preferences. We can therefore influence aspects of the game, such as inflation or the level of aggression of computer-controlled leaders.
