Eternal Tombs is a dark fantasy MMORPG developed and published by Triune Studios. Formerly known as War of Dragnorox, the game is exclusive to the PC and features a rather unique gimmick - its explorable world is constantly being developed and reshaped by a group of people known as the Tomb Masters.
Plot
The game is set in a fantasy land of Mithir. Long ago, Dragnorox brought magic to the world to locate and control its inhabitants. He has managed to enthrall thousands, warping them into his evil servants.
On his crusade against the darkness, the Dwarven king Rofmak forbade the use of magic, hunting down and executing those who disobeyed. Dragnorox and his honor guard has managed to escape, hiding in faraway lands. Two centuries later, his spawn return, hungry for blood and revenge.
Mechanics
Eternal Tombs is a dynamic MMORPG heavily inspired by D&D mechanics, its main premise being uniting the players to battle Dragnorox and his minions.
The world and plot are constantly changing, managed by a group of people acting as Dungeon Masters. Every day there are new events and tasks for the participants to meet. Dungeon Masters are also responsible for available resources, enemy spawns, unlockable zones and craftable items.
Technical aspects
The game features 3D visuals, diverse locations and a subdued, cold color palette. Importantly, Eternal Tombs is devoid of microtransactions - all items can only be acquired by playing the game.
