Espiocracy is a grand strategy game that allows us to influence the fate of the world after World War II through a global network of spies. The game was developed by the Ex Vivo Studios team, and its release was handled by Hooded Horse, a company whose portfolio is led by the Polish Manor Lords.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Espiocracy takes place on a political world map. During the game we take control of one of the 74 countries, and our task is to lead its intelligence agency throughout the Cold War and beyond. Our decisions, as well as the actions of our spies, will determine how our country will cope in times when Europe is divided by the Iron Curtain, the world trembles in fear of a nuclear conflict, and the space arms race fuels the rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union.

The game allows us to send our agents to various corners of the world to manipulate individual countries in a way that suits our interests. Our spies can influence public opinion, support existing factions or create new ones from scratch, and even contribute to new wars and carry out contract killings. In total, there are over 30 types of operations here waiting to be checked, which we can assign to our subordinates. Of course, we need money for all of this, which we accumulate by achieving successes in the field of espionage.

To carry out their tasks, agents use not only organizations and political parties, but also influential people such as celebrities, politicians and representatives of the military. The so-called "actors" were differentiated in terms of their scope and spheres of influence, competencies, and the resources they have at their disposal. Additionally, over time, the influence of our intelligence agency may reach the highest levels of power in various countries, who may turn to us with direct requests for advice or assistance.

When assigning individual spies to perform specific tasks, one should consider not only their individual skills, but also their strengths and weaknesses, as well as preferences and prejudices. Choosing the wrong contractor for the task can result in the failure of the mission, and in extreme cases - the agent defecting to a foreign country. Releasing a spy from service can also be potentially dangerous, as that person can retain his influence after escaping our control.

Game modes

In Espiocracy we can play alone or in multiplayer mode over the Internet (competitive or cooperative).
