Ernest Colt is an arcade shooting in the atmosphere of Western Europe, for which the development team of Artifex Mundi studio is responsible. The plot of the game shows the adventures of the title character whose ambition is to become a sheriff. In order to do this, the young cowboy has to face dangerous bandits, wild animals and even demonic spirits.
Ernest Colt is a proposal of Artifex Mundi studio in Zabrze, addressed to a wide circle of fans of the Wild West and shooting from revolvers. The title was prepared for Play Publishing, a company specializing in publishing low-budget productions.
The main character of the game is a young cowboy, who since childhood dreamt of putting a star of the sheriff on his chest and bringing order. However, the way to achieve this goal is not easy. Ernest Colt, whose actions are directed by the player, because he must show a certain hand and an accurate eye, standing up to fight against bandits, wild animals and supernatural forces.
The plot of the game is divided into 5 chapters, each of which has four levels. In the course of the game, the hero has to face more than 20 types of enemies and 6 bosses of boards. The creators took care of a large assortment of weapons needed to exterminate enemies. For the money gained during the game you can buy a total of 24 types of pistols, rifles and other deadly tools from westerns.
The game in Ernest Colt is based on classic solutions, perfectly known to the fans of arcade shooters of the "shoot'em up" type. The action is shown from behind the main character (from above). The player controls the movement of characters using the keyboard, and with the mouse aims and shoots at enemies.
Three-dimensional graphic design of the game is maintained in cartoon style. Unfortunately, its quality does not match modern standards, which is particularly evident from the small number of details in models or elements of the environment.
