Enola is the second game in the independent studio The Domaginarium after SteroidS. This time, developers from El Salvador faced a species of adventures in the convention of dark, first person (FPP) horror.
The action of the game takes place on an island separated from the world. The player plays the role of a woman who woke up without knowing who she is or how she found herself in this place. Subsequent corpses confirm the heroine's conviction that a massacre crime has taken place here. However, it is not known who or what the murderer was. To add to the evil in the darkness, something terribly evil seems to be lurking....
The Enola game was devoid of elements of combat. The basic activity of the player is to explore locations and solve various puzzles. The tension is exacerbated by the perspective of the first person, the disturbing noises of the environment and the awareness that any mistake made can contribute to the death of the character.
Visual setting is far from modern standards set by AAA (high-budget) games. The three-dimensional graphical environment, generated using the Unreal Engine, is not very detailed, but the darkness in which a large part of the location is shrouded awakens the imagination. Noteworthy is the professional soundtrack of the game, including dialogues read by the speakers.
