Emily Wants to Play Too Description
Emily Wants to Play Too is a three-dimensional first-person perspective survival horror game. It is a sequel to Emily Wants to Play from 2015. The concept and gameplay of the game are inspired by titles like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Slender. The new game was developed by Shawn Hitchcock, the creator of the first entry in the series.
Plot
In Emily Wants to Play Too the players assume the role of an employee of Timmy Thom’s Fast Sandwiches, a company that sells takeaway sandwiches. One day, the protagonist comes to an office that looks like an unusual forensic lab. There he finds weird dolls. This triggers some disturbing events.
Mechanics
Emily Wants to Play Too is a typical survival horror game. The player is tasked with escaping from a terrifying place. The gameplay is inspired by stealth games and it forces players to think strategically and for example predict opponents’ movement. The opponents are usually animated dolls. The players can freely move through the building that is much larger than the area available in the first entry in the series. Using items and interactions with surroundings (for example, turning the light on and off) are an important part of the game.
What’s interesting, the game lacks classic combat, violence, and brutality. However, this doesn’t mean that Emily Wants to Play Too can’t scare the player.
Game modes
Emily Wants to Play Too features only singleplayer mode.
Technical aspects
Emily Wants to Play Too features three-dimensional graphics. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4. Because it is a low-budget title, it lacks impressive visuals. The graphics are merely mediocre. It is worth mentioning that the game supports virtual reality goggles.
