After accidents in the first part of the game, Elvira started filming, producing horror movies in her Black Widow Productions studio. However, infernal powers did not laze and after entering our world, they quickly mastered the Hollywood facility, by the way kidnapping its owner. In an act of despair, Elvira decides to seek help from her lover and it is in his character that the player will play. Your task is to get through three photo sets controlled by the most real monsters, find the components necessary to create magical spells and finally defeat Cerberus' demon, the culprit of all the confusion, before he manages to take control of the world.
Elvira 2: The Jaws of Cerberus is a classic RPG in the survival horror convention. We choose our hero from four professions: knife, detective, stuntman and computer programmer. Each of them is described by eight coefficients, the development of which corresponds to the profession, e.g. stuntman is very strong, but intelligence is not his strongest point, the programmer is quite the opposite. A huge number of items are at the player's disposal, but you have to choose them very carefully, because the amount of space in the pockets is limited and at the beginning we have a quite large set of buckles. Very important in the game are the spells, which we cast with the help of the book of spells. The number of magic points is, of course, limited, which is why it is also necessary to show a rational approach to the matter. The game is extremely long and disgustingly difficult. Although it seems improbable, you may die more often than in early Sierra products, so the game status recording option must become your favorite.
The audiovisual setting is very good, especially the music stands out above average if we manage to take advantage of Roland's benefits. The interface is very complex and can initially cause operating problems, although after several dozen minutes of contact with the product, you can get used to it. The biggest drawback of the game, however, is the lack of any option to draw a map, which can be painfully felt in huge labyrinths.
