Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is the first expansion for a strategy game Elemental: War of Magic. The production was developed by a team at Stardock, led by Derek Paxton (creator of Fall from Heaven, a mod for Civilization IV), Jon Shafer (lead producer of Civilization V) and Dave Stern (a writer and former editor of Pocket Books).
The main purpose of Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is to modify the gameplay mechanics of the original game. First and foremost, the players gain access to a completely new combat system. Magic was also subject to changes, including the spellcasting process (now supported with new magic equipment). Moreover, the expansion introduces a new economy system which is more intuitive and clear.
Fallen Enchantress also comes with new content, including new quests and monsters as well as previously unavailable locations. Among the last element, we may find both safe areas and the lands controlled by the forces of evil. A terrain called Bhinadmi Fissure, held by demons led by a hellish lord, is a good example. In the fight against them, we are aided by new champions.
