Eiyuu Senki: The World Conquest

Eiyuuu Senki: The World Conquest, released on PS3 and PSV, is a tactical RPG game in which the player, as the leader of a team of various characters, confronts opponents' armies in order to gain power over the world. The game is divided into two separate segments - the first is a typical strategy, in which we look at the map and decide on the next move. The second is focused on the battles. The game was developed by TENCO.

Plot

Eiyuuu Senki: The World Conquest takes us to an alternate reality in which contemporary political forces have decided to declare war on each other. The European Union has abandoned peaceful politics and started to conquer nearby areas, the fictitious Vinlanders have sown destruction wherever its troops appear, and a civil war has been going on for years in the Far East among the Zipanganese people. The only party that seems to have a common sense and makes every effort to bring peace to the world is Britannia. The player is in the middle of this chaos and by choosing the right side, they try to control the whole globe.

Mechanics

Eiyuuu Senki: The World Conquest offers more than 70 unique heroes of varying abilities who will lead the army into battle. All models have been designed in a specific way - they are charming girls who were designed and drawn by the team led by Oyari Ashito. The leaders of the opposing factions were also created on similar principles. Regardless of their inconspicuous appearance, everyone has equally ambitious and ruthless plans - each lady wants to control the world.

During the strategic phase, the player looks at the world map and chooses which cities or countries they want to attack. When we go into battle, the perspective changes and we find ourselves in a characteristic chessboard-like field. The characters appearing on it make their moves in turns and use unique skills which are portrayed in separate animations presented above the map. The victory is determined by the strength of our characters and the appropriate combinations of abilities. The rules of winning a duel are not too complex, but achieving world domination requires us to complete at least a few different scenarios. Eiyuuu Senki: The World Conquest offers a variety of endings.

Technical aspects

Eiyuuu Senki: The World Conquest offers 2D graphics. The art style is a combination of manga and anime stylistic with carefully designed buildings representing individual cities from all over the world. The title was initially published only in Japanese, but later it was also decided to sell editions with English subtitles.
