EEP 3 - Professional Railway Simulator is a title created mainly for railway simulators and lovers of miniature mock-ups. It is a continuation of the production called Virtual Railroad 2 (in Poland Railroad.exe) released in 2003.

This game is in many ways similar to the competitive Trainz series produced by Auran. However, EEP 3 places greater emphasis on the models themselves, the construction of which is to be the main attraction of the programme. Several hundred different objects have been put at the player's disposal. The most important are, of course, the locomotives themselves. The player can choose a historic steam engine as well as a state-of-the-art model powered by electricity. In addition to the locomotive itself, it is necessary to take care of the rolling stock or the right amount of traction. No less important role is played by the buildings of the surrounding world. The player can put up elements of broad and narrow gauge railway infrastructure or railway stations, as well as trees, and modify the appearance of the environment. Most of the available objects (e.g. crossovers) are working according to reality.

On the very development of the available area the fun does not end, of course. You can visit the world constructed by yourself. The player sits at the controls of one of the available locomotives. It is worth mentioning that they are controlled in accordance with the generally applicable rules. The player must take into account, among other things, the size of the rolling stock being towed (this element affects, for example, the time needed to brake the entire line-up) or a commonly accepted signalling system.

The visual setting of the game was realized in full three-dimensional. Particularly noteworthy are the detailed models of locomotives and the rolling stock they haul. The authors of EEP 3 also took care of the presence of additional elements, such as machines for loading and unloading of goods. The currently controlled composition can be observed from many cameras. As part of the curiosity one should treat the possibility of generating at any time .avi films depicting current progress.
