The 13th full-fledged installment of a series of popular railway simulators developed by a German studio Trend Verlaag. Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 allows us to assume the role of a train driver, traveling through various areas using a chosen train. We can choose from over 4500 models – from classic steam-powered engines, up to modern diesel or electric engines, each containing a faithfully-recreated, three-dimensional cockpit.

Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 is the thirteenth installment of the popular series of railway simulators. The game was developed for PC by a German studio Trend Verlag.

Mechanics

Similarly to the previous installments of the series, Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 allows the players to assume the role of a train driver, traveling through varied locations while taking control of a chosen train. The game is characterized by its immersive realism – we are left with 4500 train models, with each machine having its own, three-dimensional cockpit. The available train engines include steam-powered as well as diesel or electric ones. During the gameplay, the player has to take notice of railway signs, and the situation at hand – the world is alive, with vehicular, marine, and air traffic taking place around us, while secluded locations are inhabited by various animals. The game is complemented by a day and night cycle and dynamic weather conditions.

The complex editor is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the game. It allows us to create our own trains, tracks, upraise mountains, carve out valleys and river troughs, and create lakes. Such worlds can be filled with varied infrastructure, and then tested or shared with the game’s online community. In comparison with its predecessors, Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 introduces a more intuitive interface, and an interesting option to use a gamepad. New players received a set of tutorials that help to get acquainted with the game.

Technical Aspects

Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 for PC reuses the same technology that powered the previous installment of the series. The three-dimensional graphics are decent, with new elements and effects, such as realistic rainbows and water effects adding additional appeal to the game’s visual side.
