Ego Protocol is a logic/arcade game developed by the Polish studio Static Dreams. The game won The Jam competition organized by the 1ndieWorld website, where competitors had to create a game in the spirit of the classic Polish platformer Electro Body. In Ego Protocol we have to manipulate the game's environment in order for our hero to reach his destination and avoid all sorts of dangers that await him.

Ego Protocol for AND, PC and WP is a logic/arcade game developed by the indie Polish studio Static Dreams. The game won The Jam competition organized by the website 1ndieWorld where competitor had to create a game inspired by the cult 1992 Polish platformer Electro Body.

Mechanics

Our goal in the game is to manipulate its environment and create a safe passage for our hero to help him avoid the dangers along the way. Each of the forty-five levels in the game is made of a dozen or so square blocks that we can move around in order to create a path to the portal for our character. In addition to our direct impact on the game’s environment, we can give our hero simple orders to make him avoid traps or fight with the enemies.

Gameplay in Ego Protocol for AND, PC and WP is fast-paced and relies heavily on the player’s reflexes. The time we spent on finishing a given level is added to the final score, and every next map is more difficult than the previous one. Ego Protocol has classic 2D visuals full of grim colours that bring to mind Electro Body.
