Earth Seeker is a mix of action games and a typical Japanese RPG game. The title is the responsibility of the Japanese studio Crafts & Meisters, which was founded by Noritaka Funamizu, a former employee of Capcomu and Street Fighter II designer.
The plot of the game takes us into a distant future, in which the Earth was affected by a powerful cataclysm destroying the planet. Thankfully, parts of mankind were saved and escaped on powerful spaceships, which took on board entire cities and the most important architectural and artistic wonders created throughout the course of history. During the colonization journey of an armada looking for the other Earth, one of the ships breaks down on the surface of an unfriendly planet. All the passengers on board the ship were killed, but his computer still automatically starts the process of terraformation, which lasts more than 1000 years. At the same time, apart from creating a friendly environment for absent people, it also creates hundreds of dangerous monsters, which become a new flora and fauna of the planet.
The main character, whose fate we will manage in the game, is a terrestrial man, an artificial man, who, like most of the monsters inhabiting the planet, was created by the failing on-board computer of a shipwrecked. Her task is to hunt and kill minions born by mistake.
In the game we will visit a colourful and vibrant world. We will come across the remains of monuments taken on the ship, which we can collect and collect. The gameplay is very similar to that of the Monster Hunter series. We travel through large locations, fighting with enemies we meet along the way, some of which can only be found in specific places. Combat mechanics is a combination of turn-based system and real time game - at any time we can stop actions, think about strategy and give commands or use different items. Most of the fighting effort falls on the shoulders of guards, small creatures who serve our heroine with their offensive and defensive powers.
