A first-person perspective action game developed by Ubisoft’s first party studio. The title was designed to work with virtual reality sets. As the title of the game suggests, it allows the player to assume the role of an eagle and enjoy the freedom of flying. Eagle Flight takes place in undetermined future in Paris, which for some reason was completely abandoned by humans.

Eagle Flight is an action game released for PS4 and PC. The title concentrates on recreating the flights of eagles. It was developed by Ubisoft’s first party studio for virtual reality goggles. It is impossible to play the game without VR.

Plot

As the title suggests, Eagle Flight for PS4 and PC allows the player to assume the role of an eagle and get a taste the freedom of flying. The game takes place in undetermined future in Paris. For some mysterious reason, the city was completely abandoned by humans fifty years before the game starts. During the game the player is tasked not only with surviving, but with learning what actually happened in the metropolis as well.

Mechanics

In Eagle Flight for PS4 and PC the action is shown from the eyes of the bird the player controls. The controlled eagle can perform various stunts. The gameplay doesn’t focus only on exploration, there are various tasks for player to complete and the maps are filled with enemies with which one must fight in the air. During the adventures the player isn’t alone, his companions are leaving colorful lines in the air, making it easier to navigate and find other eagles.

Eagle Flight offers large singleplayer campaign and the possibility to participate in multiplayer matches. Up to six players can play simultaneously in two different multiplayer modes.

It is worth adding that the developers created an interesting control system based on head movements. It greatly reduces the chance for nausea to occur during the game, as it frequently happens in other games that use virtual reality.
