Warriors Dynasty 7: Empires continues the tradition of releasing Empires versions for the subsequent parts of the Warriors Dynasty series. This stand-alone plugin combines the arcade model known from the basic version of the game with turn-based strategy.
Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires (in the country of a blossoming cherry known as Shin Sangoku Musou 6 Empires) is Omega Force's second stand-alone addition to the seventh part of the Japanese action game series. In the traditional way for Dynasty Warriors he introduces strategic elements to the arcade gameplay.
The Dynasty Warriors series is loosely based on the popular book Romance of Three Kingdoms, which tells the story of the civil war in China in 169-280, when four clans, Shu, Wu, Wei and Jin, fought for reign. The player can choose one side and get to know its story and motives.
In the extended conquest mode we can play the role of an ambitious commander, a loyal officer or an independent mercenary. The aim of the latter is to gain fame by performing tasks for different clans. Choosing to be an officer, we support our commander in the conquest of China by following his orders - taking part in battles or serving as a messenger or advisor. As a commander, however, we personally take part in the reunification of China under our flag, waging a war with other clans in a turn-based game on a strategic map. The creators tried to capture the depth of the political and tactical game as much as possible.
No matter what path the player takes, he will have to stand in many battles, during which he will face dozens of opponents at the same time. After making a few tactical decisions about the development of the battle, we are thrown into the whirlwind of the fight. At this point, the game becomes a classic "slasher", in which we pacify whole hordes of enemies in a spectacular way. The longest combos can be used in combat, as well as special attacks (water, fire or rain of boulders). Such actions will increase the fame bar of the character we lead, as well as earn us a little penny, which is useful for buying new skills and unlocking and improving many types of weapons.
Each of the available characters has a unique ability. Xu Shu, an advisor to Cao Cao Cao, known from earlier editions of the series as NPC, joins the 65 playful heroes known so far. Those who don't have enough of this long list can always create their own character using a rich editor, or download those shared by other players from the Internet.
In the Warriors 7: Empires Dynasty we can play alone or with a colleague in cooperation mode on a split screen or via the Internet.
