Dungeon Raid is a mobile production developed by Fireflame Games team, which is an original combination of a logical game with RPG elements.
Mechanics
Despite having some elements taken from RPGs, Dungeon Raid doesn't offer any story. In the beginning, we watch a brief explanation of how we found ourselves in the titular dungeon. The game itself focuses on developing our hero's abilities, collecting treasures and buying and improving weapons. The whole process, however, takes place in a rather unusual way.
Our task is to draw lines connecting the same elements on the board, which evokes obvious associations with "match-3" productions. There are various icons on the board, symbolizing e.g. gold, weapons, armor, magical potions, as well as enemies. We can combine at least three identical elements by drawing vertical, horizontal or diagonal lines. Each of the figures created in such a way has slightly different uses, such as regeneration of health or increasing the damage inflicted. The whole thing takes place in a turn-based system: one draw is one turn, followed by an opponent's attack.
We can spend the gold on equipment which influences our statistics. The shields symbolizing the armor are used to improve our equipment. We gain experience by killing enemies, which allows us to learn new skills, etc. The game lasts until the hero dies - our health points are depleted. As the game progresses, we successively unlock new races and character classes, and each of them has its strengths and weaknesses.
Technical aspects
Dungeon Raid has simple but easy-to-read graphics that suit the game's theme. An additional motivation to have fun is the online player rankings.
