Dungeon Link is a mobile puzzle RPG developed by Gamevil. The game takes place in a typical fantasy land called Kantenbury, threatened by the King of Demons. With every passing day, his army grows stronger and stronger. Our task is to defeat him. We will explore dungeons, where we will encounter enemies and powerful bosses. At the beginning of our adventures, we have to choose a class for our character.
Dungeon Link, released on AND and iOS, is a hybrid of an RPG and a logic game. The production is available in a free-to-play model with microtransactions and was developed by Gamevil.
Plot
The action takes place in quite a standard fantasy land known as Kanterbury. This world is threatened with extinction from the hands of the Demon King, whose armies are constantly increasing and they are about to begin the invasion. The task of stopping him is, of course, up to the player and their heroes.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Dungeon Link is about exploring dungeons and fighting regular monsters and powerful bosses. Starting the adventure, we have to choose a character class. Our hero can be a knight, rogue, mage, healer or archer. Each of these professions has unique equipment and a set of skills. During the game, we are joined by more heroes and we can develop all these characters thanks to the experience points accumulated in the victorious battles. In addition, you have the option to merge two characters to create a single, more powerful, hero. There are over 250 heroes in the game.
Dungeon Link combines elements of RPG and logical games, but unlike most of these hybrids, the authors didn't use the match-3 mechanic. Instead, during the fights, we are thrown on a board composed of several types of colorful tiles. Our task is to draw with our finger the path that each of our characters will go through. It is important that the color of the starting and ending tiles must be the same. As you complete your route, the character automatically attacks any enemy that stands in their way or is in the range of their weapon and spells. The ability to coordinate moves between heroes, which can dramatically increase the damage dealt, adds to the fun. The relationship between opponents and the elements also plays an important role, making some techniques much more effective against specific types of monsters.
Game modes
In addition to playing alone, the game also offers the opportunity to compete with other players in PvP mode. In addition, the developers prepared a number of social options, allowing us to create teams and have a joint exploration of dungeons.
