Dungeon Hero (2007) Description
Developed by Firefly (creators of the Stronghold series and strategy game CivCity: Rome), Dungeon Hero is a combination of RPG and arcade game, bringing to mind the famous Diablo. This game was released on Xbox 360 and PCs.
The action of the game takes place underground, in the dark, dirty dungeons inhabited by bizarre monsters. We play the role of the title character, who, in order to gain recognition among the inhabitants of the underground, must win many battles. Combat is the essence of the game: we fight with both weapons and magic, are often attacked by large groups of opponents at the same time, and our character develops skills and becomes more and more powerful.
For the needs of the game, the devs at Firefly have created their own graphic engine. The dungeon has been designed with great attention to detail - it is dark, dirty and terrifying, that is exactly what it should be. Also the character designs make an impression, even though they are mostly the same creatures that we can find in other games, films or fantasy books, i.e. various kinds of trolls, goblins or goblins. Dungeon Hero alsofeatures a multiplayer mode, which enables us to move around the dungeons together with our friends and defeat our opponents together.
