Dungeon Gladiator is a three-dimensional action game focused mainly on multiplayer gameplay. Its essence is the spectacular and bloody duels of the title gladiators.
Dungeon Gladiator is an action game focused mainly on multiplayer gameplay. By default, players can choose between two different views: FPP and TPP. What they decide to do depends solely on their personal preferences. The essence of the game are melee duels and with the use of white weapons. Dungeon Gladiator combines an extensive system of creation and character development with intuitive control. The duels take place in specially prepared arenas. Usually two gladiators take part in them (rarely there are more of them to fight). Each gladiator can buy equipment and armour before the fight (the range of items is expanded with successive successes). In addition, the player has to take care of the development of their selected features. Thanks to this, they are able to perform better in combat. Optionally, you can also buy magic items or vials, which will improve selected gladiator skills (temporarily or permanently). Players can connect into clans (they have separate servers) and try to fight together for the titles of the best gladiators or teams. The action of the game was set on the island of Verlom, which in the past was the arena of many clashes between the kings managing it, called Tyrants. Now it hosts tournaments in which local slaves take part. They are the gladiators of the title.
The game world is inhabited by many different races (in total there are nine of them). The player can choose a representative of one of them. People are the most versatile. They can be trained as muscular warriors as well as clever secret fighters, whose main advantage is the speed of the blows (mostly by surprise). Krehl, also known as Selected in appearance, resemble lizard-like creatures. Their main advantage is the huge power of blows, very often supported by a powerful tail, which they will not fail to take advantage of. High-speed flying Darklings apart from their agility are distinguished by outstanding intelligence.
Dungeon Gladiator was created on a completely new Multiplex engine. According to its name, it was supposed to be as versatile and easy to use as possible. The whole game was created on the basis of modules. This makes it possible, for example, to add new elements to the game or to successively improve the existing ones. With the right tools you can try to make a few modifications yourself. The engine infrastructure also simplifies the division of fun into singles and multiplayer. This also makes it easier to patch the game. Multiplex Engine is distinguished by advanced physics of the game world, realistic animations of the environment and characters (skeleton constructions), as well as spectacular hand-to-hand fighting. It fully supports Direct-X 8, T&L and advanced hardware features only found on GeForce 4 or higher class cards. Dungeon Gladiator's music dynamically adjusts to the action on the screen. The game supports popular 3D sound standards (e.g. A3D and EAX in the latest versions).
