Game mechanics

Duck Souls is a classic 2D platform game. We move through the maps full of threats and enemies. Duck is defenseless, so fighting is not an option. Instead, we have to avoid enemies, which is helped by the fact that the hero is very fast and agile, which allows him not only to jump high and far, but also to bounce off the walls.

The game is characterized by a very high difficulty level. Duck Souls requires lightning-fast reflexes, and the duck's life is threatened not only by enemies, but also by twenty different types of traps, which always cause a brutal death for our character.

In Duck Souls we get one hundred ingenious maps to overcome. An additional attraction is the opportunity to get twenty hats to decorate our duck.

Game modes

The game offers only single player mode. It has two, deceptively named, difficulty levels. "Casual" is very difficult, and "Hard" is a challenge only for the most stubborn fans of platform games.

Technical aspects

Duck Souls was made in a retro style full of large pixels. The graphics is mostly colorful and heavily cartoonish, but at the same time the duck death scenes are very brutal, and some sections of the campaign seem straight out of a horror movie.

A big advantage of the game is the refined controls, which is crucial because of the very high difficulty level.
