Dropship: United Peace Force Description
Dropship is an extremely dynamic production, combining elements of many different game genres. It is mainly a simple flight simulator, in many respects referring to the cult Warhawka or the famous Air Combat saga. The Dropship can also boast of elements typical for modern shooters and extremely uncomplicated real time strategies. It should be noted at this point that the game was released only for Sony console owners. It also does not have any network modes.
For a large part of the game we control a huge futuristic jet. It is worth mentioning that this machine can fulfil many other functions. The jet controlled by us can be used for transporting infantry. It is also possible to transform it into a useful bomber for some tasks. Operating the machine does not cause major problems, although it requires some training. However, the manufacturer has prepared a separate training mode, thanks to which you can get acquainted with the basic issues related to the control and elimination of objects encountered during the mission. The action of the game can also be played on the surfaces of planets. It is here that you can take advantage of the already mentioned functions known from popular real-time strategies. We can give simple commands to units on the battlefield, or even take temporary control over them.
The key point of the game is, of course, an extensive career, in which we have a dozen or so different missions to overcome. Tasks are usually quite demanding. Longer downtimes cannot be afforded and further targets must be eliminated quickly and without problems. When it comes to the missions themselves, most often we have to destroy the objects determined by the game. However, there are also more interesting tasks. The unit controlled by us can carry cargo and infantry. In certain missions, we must therefore supply allied units into enemy territory. Some stages, in turn, require reconnaissance, without engaging in more serious clashes with enemy forces. Visually, the game looks quite average. Air battles were fought in the most beautiful way. The environment was not the best.
