DriveClub Bikes is the first expansion for the arcade racing game released in October 2014 on PlayStation 4. Both the basic version of the game and expansion was developed by British studio Evolution founded in 1999. The team specializes in racing games and created such series like WRC and MotorStorm. DriveClub Bikes for PS4 is available both as a stand-alone game and as DLC for the original DriveClub.

Mechanics

DriveClub Bikes for PS4 offers a driving model similar to the one available in the basic version of the game. It is an arcade game with some simulation features. The way one controls the motorcycles is affected by weather and the state of the roads. During a rain one will have trouble with adhesion while on gravel roads the altitude differences will have an impact on the controls. The game offers a visual model of bikes damage which doesn’t affect their performance. In difference to many modern racing games, all tracks in DriveClub Bikes are closed and it is impossible to ride off the track in order to find some shortcuts. The developers created models of 12 fastest and best motorcycles in the world, constructed by such manufacturers like Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda and BMW. The vehicles are unlocked as one progress through the game.
