Dreadline is a mix of RTS and roleplaying games developed by former employees of companies such as Iron Lore and Irrational Games. The player takes command of a group of monsters who travel in time from one historical catastrophe to another and murder the people involved in these tragedies.
Dreadline Description
Dreadline is a game that is a hybrid of RPG and RTS genres. This is the debut project of the independent studio Eerie Canal Entertainment, which consists of people who have worked on such titles as Freedom Force, System Shock 2, BioShock or Titan Quest.
The game is a fast-paced and dynamic action-paced title in which we take control of a group of monsters. Obedient to our orders, the monsters are equipped with a time machine, so that they can move to the moments when the famous historical catastrophes took place. Our task on the ground is to murder people who were to be killed anyway as a result of the tragedy.
The actions are observed from a camera placed high above the characters' heads, and the control is done with the mouse, just like in typical RTSs. The authors took care of an extensive bestiary, in which we will find monsters equipped with a number of special abilities. Much of the monsters are not available at the beginning and we have to work hard to unlock them. For our successes we are rewarded with experience points, which we then spend on developing the skills of individuals. The game takes place in such locations as the sinking Titanic, Pompeii or the Shopping Centre captured by zombies.
