Dragon Quest: Monster Parade for WWW is a free-to-play browser game set in the world of one of the most popular Japanese game series. The game has optional micro transactions and was developed by one of Square Enix’ internal studios.

The Plot

The game tells the story of an expedition to a distant land organized by the King to find the current avatar of a legendary priestess. We play as a young adventurer who was given the task of organizing a caravan and carry out that mission.

Mechanics

In Dragon Quest: Monster Parade for WWW we have to cover a long distance, full of both dangers and opportunities to enrich ourselves. Our caravan consists of friendly creatures that automatically march in a straight line. We have to manipulate and control their formation and chose the units that are best fitted to neutralizing subsequent hazards.

Misc.

After finishing each segment of our journey, we can scout ahead and catch new creatures. Every once in a while we will also find a village, where we can resupply. What makes the game a bit harder is the caravan’s weight limit. We have to decide which creatures we want to take with us and which have to be left behind. Each creature has its own distinct stats and abilities that can be leveled by gathering experience.
