Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below Description
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below for PS4, PC and PS3 is a three-dimensional action game with RPG elements based on the legendary jRPG series, Dragon Quest. It was developed cooperatively by Koei Temco and Omega Force at the commission of Squre Enix. The developers previously created the Dynasty Warriors series as well as its numerous spin-offs that used licenses of such popular franchises as One Piece, Gundam, and The Legend of Zelda.
Plot
Contrary to other productions that use the Dynasty Warriors formula, Dragon Quest Heroes has its own original plot which is not directly linked to any installment of the Dragon Quest series. Naturally, in the course of the game, we will encounter numerous familiar faces and creatures but the main characters were designed from bottom up solely for the purposes of the production. Traditionally, all heroes and most in-game monster were designed by a famous mangaka, Akira Toriyama.
Gameplay
Dragon Quest Heroes for PS4, PC and PS3 is a three-dimensional hack ‘n’ slash game that puts an emphasis on spectacular, fast-paced action. It means that we fight dozens of enemies simultaneously while traversing large, open locations. We will also have to face powerful bosses that require applying a more advanced tactic to be defeated. The protagonists possess various attacks and special skills and can block and dodge the attacks directed at them. They also gain experience that allows us to unlock new abilities.
Technical aspects
The game’s graphics are cartoonish and attempt to faithfully transfer the designs of Akira Toriyama into the third dimension. Thanks to the fact that the title was being developed with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in mind from day one, the developers were able to use previously unavailable technical tweaks and increase the number of enemies present on the screen simultaneously as well as to introduce new visual effects.
