Doofus Description
As a result of inattention, a small dog named Doofus got lost in a huge forest. The player who takes on the role of his master must lead the pet through three vast lands to the house. The task is not easy, mainly due to the fact that there are many unpleasant creatures lurking on the road, which can threaten both the boy and his dog at any time.
Doofus is a fabulously colourful platformer, which was created thanks to the efforts of X-Ample studio. As in other programs of this type, we will have a lot of jumping, shooting at different opponents and collecting bonuses. Although the gameplay is very fast, you should pay a lot of attention to what is currently happening. The dog that accompanies us all the time tends to repeat our movements, which can sometimes result in hopes for a creature or trap and immediately die.
The game offers twelve stages, divided equally into three worlds. In later boards, in addition to fighting for survival, you should also look for objects, such as multicolored keys, which will open the passage to the next section. After completing each stage we receive a special code, thanks to which it will not be necessary to start the struggle every time from the first land.
The strongest point of Doofus is its audiovisual setting. Fantastic backgrounds and smooth scrolling delight all the more so, because at the beginning of the nineties PeCet was clearly losing in this respect with Amiga. Fast action and a large variety of levels are further advantages of the program.
