Distant Worlds: Shadows PC

One and a half years after the release of Distant Worlds: Legends studio Code Force Limited has been tempted by another, third extension to the game. The developers tried to make sure that the changes introduced with the appearance of Distant Worlds: Shadows were not limited to small gameplay elements, but brought a clear breath of fresh air.

The most important element of the addition is a completely new era - Age of Shadows. Players can start building a new empire before discovering technologies that allow them to travel in hyperspace or join one of the legendary pirate factions. With the second option in mind, new missions for smugglers and mercenaries have been prepared, as well as the possibility of robbery invasions on planets and space stations.

The changes also included the combat mechanics, especially ground clashes. New types of units have emerged, new technologies to be developed (e.g. gravity weapons), the possibility of murdering and taking over enemy ships, as well as an overview of the course of land battles.

Developers decided to introduce a number of modifications to the game engine, which resulted in improved graphics quality and significantly improved AI of computer-controlled opponents.

NOTE: The Distant Worlds: Shadows plugin requires not only a copy of the base game, but also previous extensions - Distant Worlds: Return of the Shakturi and Distant Worlds: Legends to work properly.
