Diplomacy is Not an Option Description
Diplomacy is Not an Option is a real-time strategy with tower defense elements. Game was developed by independent Russian studio Door 407.
Plot
Diplomacy is Not an Option takes us on a journey to fantastic universe inspired by the Middle Ages. During the game we play the role of feudal lord, whom after successfully suppressing a peasant uprising the king assigned to conquer an unexplored continent and take control over its deposits (with gold at the forefront). Mission is not easy, because besides natives for whom we are not welcome guests, we have to deal with monsters living here.
Game mechanics
In Diplomacy is Not an Option we watch the action from the top-down view. We expand and defend our castle. Game is divided into missions and we get a full range of possibilities from the first task. It allows us to work on our own strategy from the beginning and discover strengths and weaknesses of particular victory ideas on our own.
Although as the lords of the estate we do not give direct orders to each of our subjects, we decide on their specialization. In this way, we take care of the extraction of resources and food production. In addition, thanks to this we can afford to construct a variety of buildings of a utilitarian, industrial and military nature. This allows us to finally put up an impressive army.
Over time, our fortress starts to be besieged by more and more forces. If we want to defend against them, we first of all need a numerous and well-equipped army. In addition, high walls and powerful machines that wreak havoc in the ranks of enemies will be useful to us. In addition, from time to time we can use special abilities, such as dropping a huge fireball on the heads of enemies.
As our castle is besieged even by tens of thousands of adversaries, sooner or later they will manage to break through the walls (to avoid a disaster, the holes in the walls must be repaired as soon as possible) and their defenders will begin to die. To avoid the outbreak of the plague, we must bury the dead as soon as possible... remembering not to even try to destroy the cemetery, because if we disturb the sleep of the dead, they can rise from their graves and take revenge on us (by murdering our still living subjects).
Technical aspects
