Dinner Date Description
Dinner Date is a small independent production prepared by Stout Games studio. The player takes on the role of the subconscious of the main character, Julian Luxemburg. The man has prepared a dinner for himself and his partner, but the woman is late for the appointment. Watching the action through Julian's eyes, we look at his behaviour and by performing minor activities we try to influence his mood.
During the game we can for example force him to look at the watch, or encourage him to eat soup. Each of the steps taken leads the main character to rethink the situation. With time we get to know his intimate secrets. They concern not only male and female relations, but also relations with superiors at work or interest in Byron's work. In this way the player spends time together with Julian drinking a glass of Otra Vida wine and eagerly awaits the appearance of a beautiful woman.
3D graphics were used to show the history. The shades of brown dominate Julian's apartment. The game lasts about half an hour and is filled to the brim with the main character's monologue. The music track was composed by Than van Nispen tot Pannerden.
