Diner Dash is a popular series of games created by PlayFirst studio, known primarily for releasing simple casual productions. In the fourth installment entitled Hometown Hero, the main character named Florence goes on a nostalgic journey through her hometown with her grandmother Florence. When they find out that their favourite zoo is to be closed due to lack of funds, they decide to open a declining café next to a cage with lions.

The player's task is to serve the guests as efficiently as possible. During this stage, groups of customers appear, with whom we have to staff empty, numbered tables. After browsing the menu, you should collect the order and deliver it to your grandmother. Then we bring the prepared dishes to the guests. You should pay special attention not to confuse the tables - a card with the appropriate number has been attached to each meal. In the end, there is nothing left for the player but to clean up the dirty dishes.

The feature mode consists of 50 stages of increasing difficulty. Select them from the city map view. The creators have prepared a number of additional attractions for the players. Ensuring the wellbeing of all customers is key to achieving a high score. As a rule, it worsens over time, but this is also the case when teenagers are sitting at adjacent tables using a mobile phone all the time. In addition, from time to time the restaurant is visited by four-person groups of guests (usually pairs) and the player must then combine two adjacent tables to serve them.

For successful execution of subsequent orders we receive, among other things, additional elements of interior design, as well as new clothes for the main character. In addition to the feature mode, we have prepared an endless stage, in which we try to serve all guests for as long as possible.

The layout of Diner Dash: Hometown Hero is very simple - the restaurants are presented in the form of two-dimensional charts. In this respect, the production is similar to other casual PlayFirst titles.
